Verandah Renewal

This tiny cottage received some attention. The rear verandah got an overhaul with some very loving carpentry. The client’s deep support for craftsmanship allowed for on-site design with the quirky battened screen.

The second-last photo is the street front of the little cottage, with a bullnose verandah.

The last shot is a close-up of the stand-off brackets used to lift the new verandah roof higher than the existing cottage to provide for morning light and ventilation, allowing heat to escape.
